I believe whatever you think about the most can come true, but you need to be careful what thoughts you impress into the subconscious mind. You can create the image of the thing you want to manifest and then allow the universe to make that vision real. We roam around with so much power and potential in our minds, but we squander it. Learn to enjoy and apply this unbelievable superpower to design the life you have always imagined.

We are the only species on Earth that has the creative power of imagination. Therefore you can direct your mind to design the ideas you want to manifest. Once it’s been imagined in the mind, the universe takes over, and you begin to attract method to manifest it into physical reality through the law of attraction

I like to think of imagination like a factory that produces and transforms our ideas into existence. Imagination has enabled humans to conquer the sky better than any bird and have harnessed the use of wavelengths and learned how to use it in the way of instantaneous communication. We have analysed the Sun, the Stars and Planets from an in compensable distance away and have put humans on the moon.

Although we have achieved numerous incredible accomplishments, we haven’t reached the apex of where our imagination can take us. If you are unable to harness the power of imagination, you will be held in the slow lane of life heading towards the end of the road.

1. Focus On The Future

Controlling your thoughts and reduce fears and worry from past experience that you can’t change. A vast majority of our thoughts are held in the past because we continually review earlier events to accept what happened. Moreover, more than 40% of our thinking is lost in past situations, and it doesn’t bring us any value. You need to let go of the past in order to move forward, remember you can never change what’s already happened.

To develop the imagination, contribute 10 minutes either in the morning or before bed to picture what you want your future to be. Get rid of any barriers you have created in your mind and push yourself into new realms of opportunities. Instead of imagining promotion at work, picture becoming the CEO of the company or your own company. You can believe what you like, and the sky is the limit.

Your imagination power is limitless, and the possibilities you can develop are too. Picture living during the turn of the 19th century. A strange person approaches you and says in 100 years, you will fly through the sky to an exotic destination while watching a movie on a comfortable seat, drinking and eating before having asleep. Everything described here was created by someone’s imagination, and they only concentrate their minds on the future.

2. Challenging Yourself And Avoid The Obvious

When you begin to expand your imagination, you will start to generate more exciting visions. It is easy to think like everyone else, and this is common because we are programmed within our subconscious mind through our environment. Viewing television, movies and other people can restrict our thinking because we accept what they tell us.

To develop your imagination further, challenge your thoughts and avoid the obvious answers. Look around your home and pick objects that you can improve or completely re-design in your imagination. Go deep within your vision, and every layer you dig into new ideas will appear, keep going until it becomes absolutely ridiculous. You’re working with the profoundly hidden secrets of the universe whereby your mind is the solution.

Challenging yourself enables the creative aspect of your mind to blossom, and manifestation can begin. Having the same ideas as others only produce the same results. Become a visionary or leader in your field of expertise or design a new journey around your passion. Whatever your mind believes you can invent in your physical world, through manifestation.

3. Develop Creativity

Creativity is a talent or skill that needs to be acquired, then practised every day to become proficient in its application. Musicians can spend hours, weeks or even years practising their art until they are happy with the final product. They compose new songs and symphonies in their minds then practice every day to perfect their vision.

Ed Sheeran slept on the floor of a music studio and practised every day until his first album was complete. It’s all about the desire and actions you are willing to take that makes the difference. Individuals that have persistence rarely fail because they know the exact path they need to take. These people attract all the relevant ideas, thoughts and opportunities towards their manifestation because they are in harmony with their desires.

You can find anything and anyone online today that can help you develop your creative skills. I always find people excel when they grow talents they have always desired but have allowed fear to get in their way. Don’t worry about the outcome take each step at a time, and the whole path will begin to appear when you’re ready. The time will pass you by anyway, so why not use that time to develop your creative side.

4. Exercise Your Imagination Daily

I want to share an exercise I completed for 30 days that allowed me to expand my imagination and got my creative juices flowing. Earl Nightingale designed the exercise.

# Step 1. Take a blank sheet of paper and write your current problem or goal at the top of the paper in the form of a question.

The question should be as specific as possible. You will find that the more specific the problem, the better the quality of the answers you will generate. A particular question allows your mind to focus clearly. Now, instead of the general question ‘How can I improve my space utilisation?’ write ‘What can I do to increase occupancy in the west wing over the next six months?

# Step 2. Think of 20 answers to this question.

Force yourself to write down 20 different things you can imagine doing, either now or in the future that will help you reach your goal. The first five answers will be obvious, and the next five will be harder and coming up with the last few solutions may seem impossible. But don’t stop until you have created at least 20 different answers. If the ideas and imagination are flowing, keep writing them down until you can’t come up with any more.

# Step 3. Go back over the ideas and select at least one to be acted on immediately.

Once you have your 20 ideas, go back over them and choose the one that feels right to you. Trust your instincts with this. Your subconscious mind is an excellent guide if you relax and trust it. This is absolutely critical to the success of this method. It is the willingness to take action on your ideas that will keep your creativity flowing. Great ideas will not manifest you unless you act on them!

# Step 4. Repeat for 30 days

For the next 30 days, use the method to either solve problems, achieve new ideas or manifest. If you complete this challenge every day for 30 days, you would have created, in your imagination, 300 different opinions.

5. Read More Books

Books are a great way to get your imagination flowing because as you read the book, you begin to create the picture in your mind. The subconscious mind only works in imagines, not words, so books develop the skill. Choose a book in which you have an interest in, is always the obvious choice. Fantasy books get the imagination working amazingly because it’s difficult for the subconscious mind to create a relatable situation, so the imagination goes wild.

Whiles I’m on the subject of books here are four books that will provide you with information and understand how to build your creativity.

  1. Steal Like An Artist – Austin Kleon
  2. Turning Pro: Tap Your Inner Power and Create Your Life’s Work – Steven Pressfield
  3. The Artist’s Way: A Course in Discovering and Recovering Your Creative Self – Julia Cameron
  4. A Technique for Producing Ideas – James Webb Young

6. Meditation & Visualisation

The practice of meditation is for you to learn how to control your mind and calm the thousands of thoughts racing around it constantly. If you have a busy mind full of stress, you won’t have the power to harness your imagination. Meditation is a wonderful exercise, and once you learn to control the conscious mind and allow the subconscious mind to imagine your creativity will emerge.

Unlike focusing on the future, like tip one, you want to clear your mind completely. Meditation isn’t the time to think about the ideas, and your imagination will flow after you have finished the meditation. It’s an opportunity to relax and quiet your thinking, which can help organise and strengthen your focus later in the day. You can receive tremendous benefits from short 10 minute daily practices.

Immediately after your meditation discipline has concluded, begin to use your mind to visualise your desires. You can build the thing you want to manifest. Go deep with the details and really concentrate on every aspect of that vision. The clearer the image, the easier it will be to manifest. Sit for 5 minutes holding the image and if you lose concentration, immediately return to your desire.

7. Take Pictures And Create A Vision Board

We are fortunate to live in a time where we can have a smartphone with us all the time. Use your smartphone to take a picture of anything you inspired to have or become. At the end of each day, review your photos and select the ones that surface excitement and positive emotions. It will be impressed into your subconscious mind, and as you sleep, your subconscious will start to manifest those visions into existence.

If you feel a strong connection towards an imagine or have a desire to manifest something create a vision board. On the vision board, you will have everything you want to manifest. Place it somewhere whereby you will see it multiple times each day. The subconscious mind will recognise the vision board and will begin to work on all the ways to make it happen.

Alternatively, you can design a digital vision board and save it to your screen saver on your mobile phone, computer or tablet. The more opportunities to see your vision board, the deeper it impressed into your subconscious mind. It’s here where manifestation begins, and the hidden powers you have in this place are unbelievable. For help designing a vision board (Check Here To Watch A Video).

8. Write Down Your Idea

Once you begin to develop your imagination skills and begin to create wonderful ideas, you don’t wont to forget them. Write each one down in a note pad or journal and review them at the end of the week. An idea you created last week might now become the answer you where looking for. The subconscious mind might not provide you with all the solutions in chronological order, so review your list frequently.

You have more than 80,000 thoughts, ideas and images generated in your mind every day. It can be difficult to remember or choose a great idea that you had. Please don’t allow the ideas to vanish forever. Always make a note of them in your ideas book or voice record them on your phone. The universe has no shortage of ideas to provide us, but we must take action to make them reality if we want to manifest our desired outcome.

Please don’t become the average by tiptoeing around life, hoping you make it safely to death. Incredibly only 3% of people living on the earth harness the power of their imagination every day, leaving the rest to wander aimlessly towards nothing. The greatest gift the universe has provided us is the ability to use our imagination, and we excelled in imaginative thinking when we were children.

Two Types Of Imagination

1. Synthetic imagination

This type of imagination is about arranging old concepts, ideas and plans into new combinations, almost like a blender. Synthetic imagination works with experiences, education and observations. Your work career can benefit from synthetic imagination because you are thinking of methods to improve existing processes and productions.

Ways to become financially stable with what you already earn is another way of synthetic imagination. Your salary restricts the income you have but picturing the ways you spend that money require this type of insight. A believe it’s necessary to have a great synthetic imagination because it helps improvement in an existing method that is essential for you to operate effectively.

2. Creative imagination

Through creative imagination, people can access a range of infinite possibilities. All basic or new ideas are developed through creative imagination. It is activated when the conscious mind is proactive or excited. Having emotions like a strong desire has a way of stimulating the conscious mind, which in return, your mind will become more receptive towards new ideas.

Synthetic and creative imagination are like muscles in your body over time they became stronger the more you use them. However, imagination can become weakened through inaction, lack of stimulation and boredom. Creativity can never be destroyed but can fall into an inactive state due to lack of use. Additionally, you can re-active your imagination by stimulus, and the following my 8 tips.

Great leaders of business, finance, industry as well as artists, musicians, poets and writers became who they are because of their mastery of creative imagination and desire. Desire is only a mere thought or an impulse, and it has no value until it has been converted into its physical counterpart.

Higher Functions Of The Mind

We all acknowledge we have five senses, but the majority of creatures on earth have the same five senses, however, we have higher functional capacities that raise us to the dominate species.

  • Perception – While our sensory receptors are continually collecting information from the environment, it is ultimately how we interpret that information that influences how we interact with the world. Perception refers to the way sensory information is organised, understood, and consciously experienced.
  • The will – Generally, is that faculty of the mind which selects, at the moment of decision, a desire from among the various attractions present. Will does not refer to any particular desire, but rather to the mechanism for choosing from among one’s desires.
  • Memory – Is our ability to encode, store, retain and subsequently recall information and past experiences in the human brain. It can be thought of in general terms as the use of prior knowledge to impress or influence current behaviour.
  • Intuition – Is receiving information and ideas without knowing exactly how and where they originated. Like creativity, intuitive inspiration often happens when you are in an activity when highly focused on the particular activity in a state of joy and fulfilment.
  • Reasoning – Is the capacity of consciously making sense of things, establishing and verifying facts, applying logic, and adapting or justifying practices, institutions, and beliefs based on new or existing information. Reasoning, or an aspect of it, is sometimes referred to as rationality.
  • Imagination – Is quite possibly a uniquely human ability. In essence, it allows us to explore ideas of things that are not in our immediate environment, or perhaps not even real. When action is taken, we can create our imagination into reality.

Conclusion

Your imagination is an incredible talent that everyone has, and we can use it daily. If you want to manifest your dream life, it must be created in your mind first. It’s through imagination that this process occurs. It’s like any skill or muscle it must be exercised regularly for it to get strong and produce the ideas you crave. If you continuously have the same thoughts every day, then you will receive the same results. Change it up and spend some in your day thinking and creating the life you desire with your imagination.
